Bathrooms are brutal on electronics. Between the humidity and the occasional splash of cold water on a hot lamp, things tend to break. Steam is sneaky; it gets into everything. If your housing isn’t rated IPX4 or higher, your circuitry is basically a ticking time bomb of corrosion. A few things to keep in mind
These lamps are powerful, but you can’t just throw them anywhere. Placement is everything. If the lamp is too close, it feels like you’re standing under a heat lamp at a buffet—too intense. Too far, and you lose that drying effect on the floor. You’ve got to get the distance just right. Also, a quick heads-up on the electrics: halogen filaments pull a lot of power the second you flip the switch. Make sure your circuit can handle that initial surge, or you’ll be spending your morning resetting the breaker.
